Contact support

Email HPBX Networks support and include your extension number, customer/company name, app version, phone model, and a short description of the issue.

Group Admin live diagnostics

Group Admin users can open HPBX Support after login for a read-only server check. It can review account status, extension registrations and reachability, device count, Webphone and Android activity, live calls, recent CDR results, blocked callers, and recording availability. DID and trunk details are restricted to HPBX Super Admin.

For the most exact answer, include the extension, caller number, approximate call time in EST, app name, and network type. The assistant does not change passwords, routing, registrations, billing, or server services.

Android app setup checklist

  1. Install the latest HPBX Android app from the official HPBX download link or Google Play once available.
  2. Login with the extension credentials provided by your HPBX account administrator.
  3. Use domain/server: thehpbx.com.
  4. The HPBX App automatically tries TCP and then secure TLS if the network blocks normal SIP.
  5. Allow microphone and notification permission.
  6. Allow background activity/battery permission so incoming calls can ring when the phone is locked.

X-Lite, PortSIP, MicroSIP, Linphone, or Zoiper

Use the extension number as username/auth ID, the SIP password supplied by HPBX, and the following connection settings:

  • Server/domain: thehpbx.com
  • Preferred transport: TCP
  • Preferred port: 5060
  • If the ISP blocks SIP: TLS, port 5061
  • Do not use SIP UDP, the server IP, or an old domain for TLS.

Note: HPBX Webphone and HPBX Android App handle network fallback automatically. Their automatic WebRTC/TURN connection is different from choosing SIP UDP in a third-party softphone.

If incoming calls do not ring

  • Open the app and confirm it shows available or registered.
  • Confirm notification permission is allowed.
  • Disable battery restriction for the HPBX app.
  • Use TCP port 5060. If only that network blocks registration, use TLS port 5061.
  • Do not use SIP UDP for extension login.
  • Logout and login again if the extension shows online but calls do not reach the phone.
  • Ask your Group Admin to use Fix Registration only if a stale SIP registration is suspected.
